Performance update

Please note: the time of this performance has been rescheduled to 5pm. This adjustment aims to minimise the impact of expected road closures due to the Nike Melbourne Marathon scheduled for earlier in the day.

Additionally, MSO Associate Principal Cello Rachael Tobin is unable to perform. We are pleased to announce MSO Assistant Principal Cello Elina Faskhi will join this performance in her place. The finalised program is now listed below.

The Melbourne Ensemble presents a remarkable program that encourages you to listen blindly and openly, allowing the music to transport you to a spiritual realm.

Featuring a fiery klezmer-influenced work for clarinet and string quartet by Osvaldo Golijov, this concert also marks the premiere of a vibrant new work by Gerard Brophy which will transport you to Istanbul to experience the historic city’s sights and sounds.
