Most Melbourne Symphony Orchestra tickets can be purchased through this website, via phone or at the event venue. Head to each event page to purchase tickets online, or call (03) 9929 9600 (Mon - Fri, 10am - 5pm) to speak to the MSO Box Office.

Absolutely. A season ticket is a subscription or a package. Purchasing one makes you an MSO Subscriber, unlocking a suite of benefits including discounts and presale access.

Tickets purchased through Melbourne Symphony Orchestra channels (online, phone or email) are non-refundable, unless an event is cancelled, rescheduled, relocated or significantly altered. Please review our Terms and Conditions for more information. If you purchased through an authorised third party (such as our venue partners), refunds and exchanges are subject to the third party’s terms and conditions.

Tickets can be cancelled up until 3 hours prior to the advertised start time, in return for an MSO Credit Voucher (valid for 90 days), new tickets or, if you would like to donate the value of your tickets to the MSO, a donation tax receipt. Fees and other Terms and Conditions apply.

To cancel your ticket(s), contact the MSO Box Office on (03) 9929 9600 or boxoffice@mso.com.au. Please include confirmation of your order details, clearly stating which ticket(s) you wish to cancel.

Cancellation requests will only be considered valid if received at least 3 hours prior to the event start time. Requests must be received from the named account holder/ticket purchaser. Please indicate your choice of credit, exchange or donation when making your request.

Requests made outside of the MSO Box Office’s standard opening hours (Mon-Fri, 10am-5pm) might not be responded to until the next business day. In such cases, the request will be honoured if received 3+ hours prior to the event.

Tickets purchased through MSO channels cannot be cancelled within 3 hours of the event. You are welcome to pass on your tickets to friends or family.

If your tickets were purchased through this website or over the phone please contact our Box Office on (03) 9929 9600 for further assistance. Alternatively, you can see the Box Office prior to the concert for a lost ticket voucher.

Any attendee under 18 years of age is eligible for a child ticket. We also offer a student membership program which provides students 18 years or older access to discounted tickets. A Student Membership is $25 and includes one free ticket.

Alternatively, if you’re aged between 18 and 35 and no longer at school, our Friends of the MSO Under 35s membership offers access to $35 tickets to a range of concerts throughout the year, plus other benefits.

We love seeing young people enjoying music at our concerts, and have introduced a $20 Child Price for children aged 0-17. These $20 tickets are available for most MSO performances across A-D reserves, until allocation exhausted. If $20 child price tickets are not available for a performance, the concession rate applies for attendees under the age of 18.

Concessions are available for:

• attendees under the age of 18 years
• full-time students
• means-tested Government issued concession card holders. These include age pension, disability support pension, Newstart, supporting parent pension and seniors healthcare card holders
• Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) White and Gold cards

Seniors card concessions are available only for concerts at Iwaki Auditorium (where available), St Patrick's Cathedral and Melbourne Town Hall performances.

Proof of eligibility for a concession must be shown at the time of purchase and be on hand at each performance. Concession tickets booked online must be collected at the performance with proof of eligibility presented.

Companion Cardholders are eligible for a complimentary companion ticket to all performances.

To book online, select both your seat and your companion's seat. Choose the Companion Card ticket type for the second seat, and provide your Companion Card details at checkout.

We offer discounts for groups of 10 or more attendees, unless otherwise specified*.
