About this performance
The MSO Chorus performs music fit for Royalty at this celebratory concert of choral music by Handel, traditionally performed at British coronations. Originally commissioned for the coronation of George II in 1727, the anthems Zadok the Priest, Let Thy Hand Be Strengthened, The King Shall Rejoice, and My Heart Is Inditing have regularly been included in coronations since.
