Providing young instrumentalists a vital final bridge to a successful career, the MSO Academy is a paid opportunity best suited to post-graduate musicians embarking on their career as professional musicians. Entry to the Academy is by audition.

Entry requirements
Applications to the MSO Academy 2024 program are now closed.
First Round – closed Friday 25 August
Second Round – by invitation to successful First Round Candidates only
- Live audition: 9-10 October 2023
Third Round
- Interview (online): 13 October 2023
Both rounds are assessed by a panel of MSO Musicians and MSO Academy committee members.
All candidates will be advised of the results from the first round by 19 September. Second round audition requirements will be provided on invitation to successful candidates.
