Hamer Hall provides opportunities for artists and audiences to experience live music performed by the finest musicians from around the world.
Located at the gateway to Melbourne’s cultural precinct, Hamer Hall is Arts Centre Melbourne's premier venue for orchestra and chamber music.
Getting to Hamer Hall
By car
Parking is available in the Arts Centre Melbourne/NGV car park or at the Australian Ballet Centre car park.
Vehicle entry and exit for the Arts Centre Melbourne Car Park is accessible from both Southbank Boulevard and Kavanagh Street.
The Australian Ballet Centre car park can be accessed via Kavanagh Street.
Construction continues throughout the area, so we recommend allowing an additional 30 minutes for arrival and exit. Plan to arrive early for performances, as late entry will not be allowed until a suitable break.
Alternatively, there are various parking facilities available nearby – see the map below.
We recommend allowing extra time if you plan to park in the Arts Centre or the Ballet Centre carparks. Visit the Melbourne Arts Precinct website for more information and the latest updates.
Taxi ranks are available outside the Arts Centre Melbourne State Theatre.
By train
Flinders Street Station is located 250 metres from Hamer Hall. Exit the station toward St Kilda Rd, turn right and head south. Once across the Yarra River, Hamer Hall will be on your right. For timetable information and trip planning visit PTV.
By tram
The Arts Precinct tram stop (Stop #14) is 210 metres from Hamer Hall. It is located outside the National Gallery of Victoria and is serviced by tram routes 1, 3/3a, 5, 6, 16, 64, 67 and 72. For timetable information and trip planning visit PTV or Yarra Trams.

Foyer bars operate at Hamer Hall pre-concert and during interval. Please note that Hamer Hall is a cashless venue.
