About this event

In the first of our three-part Guests of Note series, we invite you to join the MSO’s Maestro Jaime Martín and guest soloist and violinist extraordinaire Ray Chen for an intimate evening of conversation, fine food, wine – and of course music! – as we raise funds for the MSO’s Artistic Program.

In Melbourne for the MSO’s Mid-Season Gala concert where he will dazzle audiences with Tchaikovsky’s iconic violin concerto, Ray Chen is regarded not only as a virtuosic violinist, but as a passionate advocate for music education, and a barrier-breaking pioneer of what it means to be a classical musician in the 21st Century. Joined by our ever-charismatic leader, Maestro Jaime Martín, this evening promises to offer inspiring, thought-provoking and undoubtedly entertaining insights into the highlights, challenges and motivations behind music-making at the highest level.

Best of all, all funds raised will support the Orchestra’s core Artistic Program. So, your seat at the table will directly help the MSO to continue bringing the best artists, thrilling repertoire and world-class orchestral performances to Melbourne and beyond.

In appreciation of such generous support, ticket purchases to our Guests of Note dinners welcomes you to our MSO Patron Program – where you can join fellow like-minded music lovers at behind-the-scenes activities throughout the Season.
