Anthony Chataway joined the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra’s viola section in 2017. From 2008, he studied with Keith Crellin at the Elder Conservatorium in Adelaide, graduating with first class honours. He was the principal violist of the Adelaide Youth Orchestra and the Elder Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra.
Anthony was taught by Caroline Henbest and Chris Moore the Australian National Academy of Music from 2012 - 2014. He has performed with the Momentum Ensemble, the Sydney Sinfonia and the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. Since becoming a member of the Penny Quartet in 2015, Anthony gives regular performances at the Melbourne Recital Centre.
