As one of the truly versatile and fearless baritones of his generation, Morgan Pearse isinternationally recognised for his vibrant stage presence and expressive musicality across opera, concert, and early music.

He has sung the title roles in Le nozze di Figaro at Opernhaus Zürich and the Badisches Staatstheater, The Barber of Seville at English National Opera, Don Giovanni at the Verbier Festival, and Billy Budd at the Bolshoi Theatre. He has also appeared as Scarpia (Tosca) and Enrico (Lucia di Lammermoor) at Opera Holland Park, Enrico, Mercutio (Roméo et Juliette) and Escamillo (Carmen) for State Opera South Australia, Valens (Theodora) and Araspe (Tolomeo) at the Karlsruhe Händelfestpiele, Papageno (Die Zauberflöte) at the Badisches Staatstheater, and Belcore (L’elisir d’amore) for New Zealand Opera. In 2026, he returns to State Opera South Australia to sing Peter in Hansel and Gretel.

Morgan’s concert engagements have included Bach’s St. John Passion with The English Concert, Handel’s Solomon with Opéra Royal de Versailles and Temple Music Foundation, Messiah with the London Handel Festival and Britten Sinfonia, and the Brockes Passion with the London Handel Festival. He has performed with ensembles such as the Melbourne and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras, the Academy of Ancient Music, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, King’s College Choir Cambridge, and many others. 

An active recording artist, Morgan appears on Handel: Brockes-Passion and the Gramophone Award-winning album Dussek: Messe Solennelle, both with the Academy of Ancient Music (AAM). He is featured on the critically acclaimed release of Pasquini’s Idalma from the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music (CPO), the world premiere recording of Eleanor Alberga’s The Soul’s Expression with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales (Lyrita), and Dame Ethel Smyth’s Der Waldwith the BBC Concert Orchestra and BBC Singers.
