Award-winning soloist Mia Chenea Robinson has quickly become a recognised voice in the Australian classical music scene. At just 19, she made her soloist debut with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in the world premiere of Mary Finsterer’s Stabat Mater, later reprising the work with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra in Perth - a performance that went on to win the 2024 APRA AMCOS Award for Performance of the Year: Notated Composition. Most recently, Mia toured China and Singapore as a soloist with the Choir of Trinity College, and has also appeared as a soloist with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic, and for ABC Classic 100 in 2024.

Graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School in 2021 under the tutelage of Dermot Tutty, Mia was awarded the Robert Salzer Voice Award, John Hopkins Music Award, and was joint winner of the Outstanding Soloist Competition. She was also the recipient of the Margaret Schofield Memorial Scholarship, leading to her selection for Top Class Music (2021 & 2022) and Top Class Sound (2022).

Mia is now in her third year of Classical Voice at The University of Melbourne, where she holds a full residential scholarship at Trinity College. As an active soloist, chorister, and manager of The Choir of Trinity College, she has recorded multiple albums, including the Australian premiere of Eric Whitacre’s The Sacred Veil, and has toured extensively throughout Europe, the UK, China, and Singapore. Her performances have taken her to prestigious venues such as Trinity College Cambridge, Trinity College Dublin, and St Peter’s Basilica in Rome.
