Smetana The Bartered Bride: Overture
Dvořák Violin Concerto
Rimsky-Korsakov Scheherazade

Jakub Hrůša conductor
Jack Liebeck violin

Under the baton of Jakub Hrůša, the overture to Smetana’s comic opera The Bartered Bride opens a dazzling night of music. The resonant folk melodies of Dvořák’s Violin Concerto are followed by Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade, a vivid orchestral work inspired by the tales of the Arabian Nights.
