Birds Of Tokyo

Due to the extended closure of Arts Centre Melbourne until 30 June 2020, we are happy to share the rescheduled dates for our performances with Birds of Tokyo – Friday 22 and Saturday 23 January 2021

“We’re super excited for these shows, and thankful to everyone who decided to come along. All your tickets are automatically valid for the rescheduled dates and this is going to be pretty unmissable for Birds fans, so hold on to your seats and we’ll see you soon!” – Birds of Tokyo

If you are an existing ticket holder, you will retain your seats for the new concert date. Alternatively if you would like to request a refund, or to donate the value of your tickets back to the MSO, please email the team at as soon as you can

Birds of Tokyo, one of Australia’s most successful contemporary rock bands, join forces with the MSO!

Conductor Vanessa Scammell with lead the five piece band and the MSO in an evening that will showcase brand new music as well as reinterpretations of signature Birds Of Tokyo classics, with arrangements by Nicholas Buc.

“We’ve wanted to do this ever since we collaborated with much smaller ensembles on our Broken Strings tour a decade ago… It’s daunting to be playing with such gifted musicians but it’s also a privilege so we really want to make the most of this opportunity.”
