About the performance

Join the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra for a relaxed, sensory-friendly performance specifically designed for young people, families and those caring for someone with autism, a disability or a sensory sensitivity.

Carnival of Dangerous Creatures is a family-friendly musical adventure in which the musicians of the MSO will play the part of some of the most dangerous creatures in the world.

Join us on a sonic safari through the worlds of Matthew Hindson’s Dangerous Creatures and Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals with presenter and guide, Thea Rossen and discover the most dangerous creature of them all!

This performance will take place in Hamer Hall, a safe and relaxed environment with various elements adapted to reduce anxiety and discomfort. As a concertgoer, you can expect:

  • A relaxed attitude to noise and movement during the concert
  • Lights to stay on during the concert
  • Open doors and chill-out break areas
