About the performance

After her recent triumph with Bruckner’s Ninth Symphony, Simone Young, one of Australia’s most distinguished artists, brings her extraordinary insights to the composer’s glorious Sixth.

The ever popular Kolja Blacher returns to Melbourne with his 1730 Stradivari to perform Benjamin Britten’s early Violin Concerto, a piece demanding great virtuosity and expressiveness.
