Bruckner Symphony No.7
Sir Andrew Davis conductor
Sir Andrew Davis brings Bruckner’s Seventh Symphony score to life in this unique concert experience which will see the maestro uncover the composer, providing a rare insight into a conductor’s mind and the musical layers in this composer’s famous masterpiece.
‘I’m more interested in exposing what it is a composer does to create the music. This is an insight into how the orchestra and conductor come together, to create the magic of music and bring the notes off the page and into the hearts and minds of audiences.’
The first half of the concert will see Sir Andrew Davis discussing the work highlighting pieces of music along the way with the orchestra on stage. Sir Andrew and the MSO return to the stage in the second half to perform the work in full.
