Leave a gift in your will

Make a Bequest

Give an extraordinary gift

Thank you for considering making a bequest to the MSO. We are honoured that we have played an important role in your personal musical journey.

Including a Gift in your Will to the MSO – however big or small – is a powerful way to leave a lasting and meaningful legacy. By doing so, you are becoming a custodian of the orchestral art form. And, because all bequests to the MSO are directed to our financial reserves, your gift continues in perpetuity, helping to build a strong financial platform from which we can look to the future with confidence.

If you wish your planned gift to the MSO to be used for a specific purpose, we strongly encourage you to consult with a member of our Philanthropy team, to ensure that your expectations can be met and your gift is able to be put to its intended use for generations to come. All details of your bequest will be held in confidence.

Sample language for your will

Below is a sample clause to use when leaving a gift in your Will to the MSO:

I, (insert name), give, devise and bequeath (please specify percentage or share of estate, dollar amount, or detail property or assets) to Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (ABN 47 078 925 658) of ABC Southbank Centre, 120-130 Southbank Boulevard, Southbank, Victoria 3006, free of all claims, for its general purposes, and the receipt given on behalf of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra shall be a full and sufficient discharge to my executor.
