With Bruckner’s monumental Eighth Symphony and the MSO, conductor and Melburnian Nicholas Carter does both.
Perhaps the fastest-rising Australian on the international conducting circuit, in 2027 Nicholas joins the MSO Artistic Family as Chief Guest Conductor. He's lauded for his interpretation of complex repertoire, like premiering Brett Dean’s Hamlet at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, and for his breadth of knowledge across opera and symphonic works.
Vast in scale and philosophical in expression, Bruckner's symphonies demand not only superlative technical command and experience, but the ability to sustain a musical journey of astonishing scope.
