The Orchestra is on the move, heading to Bendigo, Shepparton and Wangaratta to perform classical concerts that can be enjoyed by everyone!

Residents of each town will be able to muse in the magic of Mendelssohn’s silvery overture to A Midsummer Night’s Dream, witness the joyful spirit of Mozart’s Sinfonia concertante and conclude their orchestral experience with Haydn’s dazzling London Symphony in An Evening with the MSO from 11-14 October.

Primary school students will also be able to enjoy the MSO, with the opportunity to explore the instruments of the orchestra and learn more about classical music during in a performance of Prokofiev’s children’s classic, Peter and the Wolf.

But it isn’t just concerts taking place during the tour! MSO musicians have been travelling to each of the communities prior to these performances to present interactive workshops to students and teachers attending Peter and the Wolf, providing students with the opportunity to work with the musicians in a fun, creative and relaxed way!
