Over the weekend, the MSO performed Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet, alongside two other iconic Russian works – Rachmaninov’s beautiful Piano Concerto No.2, which marked the composer’s recovery from clinical depression, and Mussorgsky’s Night on Bald Mountain. Korean pianist Joyce Yang made a welcome return to the MSO, performing as soloist in Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto.

Check out the photos from the performance and rehearsals and see the Orchestra perform these works for the final time on Monday 6 June.
