First Look Seats give new audiences an easy, affordable way to experience the MSO. We’re offering $20 tickets to every 2026 concert so more people can discover the thrill, emotion and energy of live orchestral music for the very first time.

Terms & Conditions
First Look Seats are available to first time attendees. MSO may monitor purchasers to ensure eligibility. A $3 booking fee applies to First Look Seat orders.
First Look Seats are available for nearly all MSO events. Some exclusions may apply, including (but not restricted to) the following:
- Events where the ticket price (excluding booking fee) is below $20
- Events where the MSO is not an authorised ticket seller
- Events where the MSO is a co-presenter
- Occasionally, events at venues where the MSO is not a regular presenter
All concerts eligible for First Look Seats will be published monthly at: mso.com.au/firstlook
The number of $20 tickets available will change depending on the concert’s venue. The following minimum allocations apply:
- Hamer Hall: 50 tickets
- Melbourne Recital Centre: 30 tickets
- Geelong Arts Centre: 30 tickets
- Frankston Arts Centre: 30 tickets
- Melbourne Town Hall: 30 tickets
- Sidney Myer Music Bowl: 50 tickets (note: First Look Seats are not available for Sidney Myer Free Concert Series)
- Iwaki Auditorium: 30 tickets
These seats are available until the allocation has been exhausted, or until three business days before each performance (one week before performances at Geelong Arts Centre).
Tickets purchased at full price cannot be exchanged into First Look Seats.
First Look Seats cannot be exchanged into other performances. If you can no longer attend a performance where you have booked First Look Seats, the ticket value (excluding booking fee) can be returned for a credit to use towards a future First Look Seat or other MSO ticket.
First Look Seats cannot be booked until they have been released.
In most circumstances, First Look Seats are only available via MSO channels.
