Georgia White is a clarinettist based in Naarm/Melbourne, having recently finished studying at the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) under David Thomas. Originally from the Bellarine Peninsula, Georgia has called Melbourne home since moving in 2019 to study with David Griffiths at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, completing her honours degree in 2023.
Georgia is passionate about diversifying the clarinet repertoire and enjoys sharing lesser-known works by Australian and female composers. She also loves bringing classical music to new audiences, valuing accessibility, and branching into cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Orchestral music has always inspired Georgia most of all; the number of people and the variety of instruments, all working together to create the most colourful and emotional works. She is very grateful to be apart of MSO’s academy program in 2026, having freelanced with the orchestra since 2022.
