Ann Jones is best known as the ABC's 'nature nerd', who regularly shares her ‘happy place’ - the outdoors - with viewers and listeners of all ages.
As the creator and host of ‘What the Duck?!’, Ann follows her curiosity for the absurd into often silly, sometimes saucy places. For the younger ears, she saves her best animal impressions for 'Noisy by Nature', the nature-adventure podcast.
Ann and her binoculars also star in ABC TVs ‘Dr Ann’s Secret Lives’ where she leaves no leaf unturned while searching for cryptic animals around the world.
What you may not know however, is that Ann is a committed audio recordist and sound designer, who has added her sonic skills to artistic endeavours like Vivid Sydney, Enlighten Canberra and to this very special MSO program!
So whether you know her as ‘that bird lady from the telly’ or as the person teaching your kids what a blue-footed booby sounds like, the most important thing is that she’s fulfilling a lifelong dream - sharing nature with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, LIVE on stage.
