Robert Cossom, long-standing MSO musician, established the ‘MSO Snare Drum Award’ in 2004 to support the talents of up-and-coming percussionists. Open to first and second year tertiary students, this award presents an exclusive opportunity for budding musicians to learn from the best.
Auditions will be held during the day with four finalists selected to progress on to this free public final round evening concert in the Iwaki Auditorium, ABC Southbank Centre.
The finals will also feature a performance by the 2011 Snare Drum Award winner Max Ziliotto.
