String Fellowships

Australian Youth Orchestra and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra jointly present one of Australia’s most important programs in orchestral training. The String Fellowships continue the long-standing dedication of both organisations to the development of the next generation of orchestral musicians.

Managed with the ongoing support of Symphony Services International, the AYO/MSO Orchestral Fellowships offer the opportunity for participants to work with professional mentors from the MSO, providing invaluable experience for those on the verge of a career in music. Auditions for this program are conducted through the Australian Youth Orchestra’s National Audition Process.
