These six concerts, celebrating the majesty of Vienna's musical heritage, glory in Vienna as a reference point for great music and music-making over more than four centuries. In collaboration with the National Gallery of Victoria, the MSO has created this special package to celebrate Vienna as a centre of music , from masterworks by Mozart – including his version of Handel's Messiah – to the epic and intimate, beautiful and terrifying symphony Mahler created in 1904 and 1905, while he was Director of Vienna's Court Opera.
