Summer in the city means Melbourne’s favourite musical treat, the MSO’s Sidney Myer Free Concerts, presented by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in association with the University of Melbourne. Celebrating their 51st year in the Bowl in 2010, these glorious events bring beautiful music and great artists from around the world to Australia's greatest outdoor space for music.

In this all-Czech program, one of Australia's leading cellists, Julian Smiles – cellist in the Goldner String Quartet – is soloist in Dvorák's luminous concerto.

So pack a picnic, bring your friends and family and we’ll see you at the Bowl this February for beautiful music in a spectacular setting.
