Principal Tuba - EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
Expressions of interest are sought from musicians of outstanding ability for the position of Principal Tuba with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra is one of Australia's leading orchestras. Based in one of the world's most liveable cities, it has a reputation for excellence, versatility and innovation. The MSO is made up of 100 full-time players, reaching over 250,000 people through more than 120 concerts annually.
This position is open to candidates of any nationality.
The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra offers an attractive salary package for the successful candidate.
Application Details
Applications will require the submission of
1) A resume/curriculum vitae; and
2) A professional recording of specified repertoire; and
3) A recording declaration form.
Applications are now open. Complete applications, including all requirements, must be received by Friday 5 November 2010.
The audition panel will review material provided by applicants and invite a small number of players to pre-trial with the Orchestra. This pre-trial period may include a live recital. This will be followed by an extended trial (up to nine months) prior to being confirmed in the position.
